Privacy Policy — TapMind
TapMind (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and your choices and rights — including rights under Brazil’s LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados), where applicable — when you use the TapMind Android application (the “App”).
1. App versions
- Free version (ad-supported): may show ads delivered by third-party advertising partners.
- Paid version: does not show third-party ads as part of the paid offering.
2. Information we collect
- Content you create in the app (for example diary entries, notes, reminders, and related metadata such as timestamps), stored primarily on your device unless you use optional features that involve sharing or backup.
- Device and diagnostics such as app version, device model, OS version, language/locale, and crash or performance diagnostics to keep the App reliable and secure.
- Advertising-related data (free version) such as advertising identifiers and ad interaction data, as processed by our ad partners according to their policies.
- Purchase information processed by Google Play Billing to validate subscriptions or one-time purchases and unlock paid features.
- Support communications you send to us (for example email content).
- Optional TapMind account (server) if you choose to register: we store only your email address, a secure password hash, and display name on our servers to authenticate you and link your account to your device “owner” identifier used for sync. You may delete this account from the app (Settings → TapMind account) or via our public account deletion page (email verification). That removes your account and synced server content. To erase synced content but keep your login, use the data deletion page.
3. How we use information
- To provide core App features and maintain your experience.
- To improve stability, performance, and security.
- To show and measure advertising in the free version.
- To verify purchases and deliver paid features.
- To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
- To operate optional sign-in and token-based access when you create a TapMind account.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the App (for example hosting, analytics, or crash reporting), with advertising partners (free version), with Google when required for Play services or payments, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Advertising
In the free version, we may show banner ads through Google AdMob. Ad partners may use identifiers (such as the advertising ID) and technical data (such as IP address) to deliver and measure ads. Where required, we ask for your consent via Google's User Messaging Platform before serving personalized ads. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings where available. TapMind Pro (subscription or lifetime purchase) does not include in-app banner ads.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and resolving disputes. On-device data remains under your control unless you export, sync, or share it using App features. Server-side account data (email, password hash, name) is kept until you delete your account or we delete it for legal/operational reasons after a reasonable period. Synced content on our servers is erased when you use the account or data deletion pages (immediate after email code confirmation) or when you delete your account from the app.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children
The App is not directed at collecting personal data from children without appropriate legal basis and any required parental consent under applicable law. If you believe we received information from a child improperly, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Your rights (including LGPD)
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict processing, object to certain processing, withdraw consent (where processing is consent-based), and obtain information about sharing. To exercise rights, contact us at andre.mateus.spam@gmail.com. For the optional TapMind account, you can review or remove the account from the app (Settings → TapMind account) where available, or use account deletion and data deletion on the web (email verification). Email us if you need help with export or erasure. You may also have rights with Google Play as the platform provider.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be available at this page with an updated effective date.
